About the Course

During the Emergency First Response primary and secondary care course, you will learn how to act in the critical moments when a life-threatening emergency occurs until the arrival of the emergency medical services.

During in-person training with an EFR instructor, you will learn how to perform CPR, provide first aid that eases pain, assess a variety of injuries and illnesses, and practice bandaging and splinting.

Completion of this program meets the First Aid/CPR course requirement for PADI Rescue Diver and PADI Divemaster certification.

What You’ll Learn in the Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care Course

In this course, you’ll learn simple, step-by-step skills to care for someone in a medical emergency, for example:

  • Handling different types of sicknesses and injuries.
  • Helping someone who is choking.

Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care Training

During the Emergency First Response Primary Care and Secondary Care course (CPR, First Aid), you will get a combination of flexible online self-study with in-person training. It’s your course at your pace. You will Practice a specific skill until you master it, then you will move to the next one.

Step 1  “PADI eLearning

With the help of the online training, it becomes easy to fit a CPR and first aid course into your busy schedule. Watch videos for different techniques of the first aid and learn the steps you should take in an emergency. Study either online or offline, using your mobile or computer or mobile. In case of having any question, communicate with your instructor.

  • eLearning time commitment: About 2-4 hours.

Step 2 “With Your Instructor

ADDITIONAL COST: Your dive center will add training costs.

You will learn with an experted instructor about 8 essential skills that will enable you to help others in an emergency. Get hands-on experience administering CPR with the help of a special manikin, practice bandaging and splinting, and in a role-playing scenario, apply your new skills.
