- You can float for 10 minutes.

Fortunately, There isn’t any upper age limit to start scuba diving. Some people start their underwater journeys at the age of 75.

The Learning Process
Agencies like PADI, SSI, and NAUI are reputable organizations that offer dive certification. Scuba diving training is a performance-based process that typically begins with a day of theory. Anyone can complete their dive theory through the e-learning program from PADI.
It will take you about 12 hours to complete this part. This online course will provide you with all the crucial knowledge and safety information needed.
Confined Water Training
Following the theoretical part, you’ll spend about two days on confined water training which is usually done in a swimming pool or in a controlled environment such as a sheltered beach.
In this part, you’ll master vital scuba diving skills like underwater breathing, mask clearance, and safety procedures.
Open Water Dives
After mastering scuba skills in confined water, you’ll proceed to the open water part which involves 4 dives where you’ll showcase the learned skills.
These dives act as an introduction to the underwater world and boost your confidence. The initial two dives focus on demonstrating skills, while the last two concentrate on enjoying the scuba diving experience.
Become a Certified Senior Scuba Diver
Congratulations! Once you complete your dives in the open water, you’ll become a certified Open-Water Diver. With this certification, you can dive with a dive buddy up to 18 meters deep without any supervision.
choosing a reputable scuba diving guide and center to dive with will maximize your enjoyment of the experience.

Age & Scuba Diving
In the scuba diving world, Age is just a number unless you haven’t a good health and don’t feel comfortable in the water. Many individuals who are 70 years, 80 years, and more enjoy practicing scuba diving regularly.
As a seior scuba diver, maintaining a routine that boosts your strength and flexibility, and involves cardio exercises keeps you in excellent shape for diving. It is also important to select diving conditions that meet your comfort level, such as avoiding strong currents if they’re too challenging.
Choosing a helpful gear like setup assistance, lighter tanks, or BCDs with integrated weights can simplify equipment handling. Always listen to your dive body, take breaks or skip dives if needed.
With proper preparation and care, you can delve into uncountable underwater adventures for many years.
