scuba diving is one of the water sports, which involves going underwater with a tank filled with oxygen for breathing to explore the ocean. Contrary to what is common, it is a type of sport that doesn’t require you to be a skilled swimmer.

There are several types of scuba diving:

  • Recreational scuba diving: tourists do scuba diving recreationally in their vacation or holiday. This type is done off the dive boats to explore the fantastic dive sites and interact with its magnificent creatures.
  • Scuba diving as a hobby: as many people do yoga or Zumba to get rid of stress, certified divers do scuba diving as a meditative activity. Being weightless in the water while exploring marine life is different from anything else in the world.

How to do scuba diving?

You need more than a tank on your back to do underwater diving. At first, you need a dive plan. This plan should include one person with you underwater to help you if anything goes wrong.

Once you choose the dive site you can buy a dive buddy from the local dive shop you find there. Your appropriate scuba diving equipment depends on what you planned, for example:

  • If you decide to dive several times, you will need extra scuba tanks.
  • Many divers prefer to wear a dry sit instead of a wet suit in cold water to stay warm.
  • You will need to buy a dive float if you choose a shore dive for scuba diving.

It is preferred to buy all your scuba diving equipment and get your rank filled at any local shop as many divers do, or just rent all of them.
