How to prepare for scuba diving?

Scuba certification course will qualify you to be a skilled diver, cause you will learn lots of water skills, for example:

  • floating in water for 10 minutes

You will be able to lie on your back or your front “dog paddle” and stay afloat without flotation aids.

  • swimming 200-300 meters/yards.

You will be asked to swim 200-300 meters/yards while you wear a mask, snorkel and fins without stopping or time limit.

Scuba diving equipment you need

Before you dive, you need to have the scuba diving equipment. Most divers have their own equipment, but you can rent them if you don’t dive continuously. This equipment include:

  • A dry suit in moderate temperatures and a wet suit in cold ones.
  • Scuba tank filled with oxygen for breathing underwater.
  • Buoyancy control device.
  • Dive computer and regulator.

There are some equipment you must buy to be only yours like:

  • Snorkel.
  • Mask.
  • Fins.

If you are diving in cold water and you get cold easily, you need a hood and gloves.
