The Discover Mermaid™ experience offers simple mermaid activities in shallow, confined water like pools. It is considered a flexible, educational, fun, and controlled way for kids to experience mermaid diving.

The PADI Basic Mermaid™ course is a combination between essential knowledge and skill development in confined water settings. It offers a thorough and engaging introduction to mermaid diving. It also covers the history and culture of mermaid diving, safety considerations, and basic equipment and water skills.

This course suits children who are six years and up who are able to:

• Swim comfortably at least 25m/80ft without any assistance,
• Foat at the surface for 3 minutes.

Your child doesn’t have to be experienced in snorkeling, skin diving, or freediving.

The course consists of two phases. The first phase is independent study using PADI Basic Mermaid eLearning materials. The instructors may hold classes if the materials aren’t available in your language.
