1. Get Comfortable in The Pool
One of the simple ways to prepare your kids for scuba diving before they ever straps on a tank is to ensure they are comfortable and enjoy their time in the water. Allow them to play around by encouraging them to submerge their face and blow bubbles.
The more comfortable they feel in the pool, the more relaxed they’ll be when they start their course. It is recommended to introduce them to basic scuba equipment, such as a mask and snorkel. Let them get comfortable breathing through a snorkel while their face and ears are surrounded by water.
2. Equalize Early
Have your child practice equalizing by holding their nose and blowing or swallowing in a gentle way. Practice it in the pool or even while driving on roads with elevation changes.
